O’Neill FFA attended State FFA Convention in Lincoln March 25th-27th, and many members competed in multiple events. These members spent an exceptional amount of time preparing for their events, and their success is outstanding! The results are as follows: Mollie Corkle- Star Finalist, Suhani Chaudhari- Gold in Sr. Public Speaking, Wade Krysl- Silver in Employment Skills, and Kaitlyn Hinrichs- Gold in Cooperative Speaking. Team events: Sr. Livestock Judging with a Purple Ribbon- (Carley Bordovsky, Brena Gdanitz, Mollie Corkle, and Wade Krysl), Agronomy with a Blue Ribbon- (Brena Gdanitz, Suhani Chaudhari, Kaitlyn Hinrichs, and Zach Buller), Welding with a Blue Ribbon- (Wade Krysl, Braxen Sorensen, Ty Stevens, and Charlie Morrow), Ag Tech and Mech with a Purple Ribbon- (Wade Krysl, Braxen Sorensen, Ty Stevens, Bo Cahoy), Floriculture with a Blue Ribbon- (Jaelynn Nicolaus, Autumn Jackson, Payton Peter, and Zach Buller), and Agriscience with a Red Ribbon- (Lynn Miner, Greyson Frank, Kaiden Martinez, and Barrett Troester). Colten Shoemaker and Greyson Frank both served as Nebraska FFA delegates.
Along with competing in these challenging events, our chapter also helped with meal packaging in the Pinnacle Bank Arena. We had the great opportunity to help Lincoln’s Meals from the Heartland program, in conjunction with many other FFA members, by packaging enough meals to feed over 1,000 families.
These members represented our chapter very well while at the State Convention. O’Neill FFA has had a very successful year as a chapter, and we are excited to see everyone continue in their success! Our annual Year-End Banquet will be held on April 20th, and we look forward to seeing everyone!
