Thursday night, October 2, 2025, was another good night for Riley Wakefield of O’Neill competing in the Tie Down Roping of the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Edmonton. Wakefield had a run of 8.3 seconds which was good for 2nd place and a paycheck of $8477. With his 1st round run of 8.4, his time of 16.7 on two-head has him in a tie for 3rd in the Average. 16.4 is leading the Average.
Riley’s girlfriend, Jenna Dallyn, had a great run in the Breakaway roping after winning the first round, but a broken barrier took her out of the money. Jenna’s time was 1.9 but with the +10 finished with an 11.9. Only half of the contestants caught in the second round. Jenna has a total time of 14.1 after two rounds and is in 3rd in the average. Only 3 contestants have went 2-for-2.
The 3rd round is tonight, Friday, October 3 at 7:30 pm central time. The rodeo can be viewed on The Cowboy Channel, which is a pay-to-view channel.
