Lots of Locals To Compete in Cowboy 200 & 100 Footrace This Weekend On The Cowboy Trail

The “Cowboy 200,” a point-to-point 200-mile footrace along the beautiful Cowboy Trail in Nebraska, will run September 26 and 27, 2025.  This is a rails-to-trails course and will be run on 90% crushed gravel.

Locals who will compete in the Cowboy 200 are Andrew Fehringer of O’Neill and Frank Jesse of Chambers.

200-mile

  • Starts September 26, 2025 @ 6:00 AM at Ta Ha Zouka Park in  Norfolk, NE
  • 200+ miles with ZERO repetition
  • The course will start in Norfolk and head west along the Cowboy Trail to Valentine.
  • The 200-mile must be completed in 84 hours (25:12/mile average)

Locals in the Cowboy 100 are Teresa Simons, Leah Chohon, Jacob (Jake)Reiman, Dean Benson, Ryan Kelly & Dan Rentschler, all of O’Neill, Terri Kaup & Don Forker of Stuart, and James & Michelle Meuret of Brunswick.

  • Starts September 27, 2025, @ 8:00 AM at the Community Center in Atkinson, NE and ends in Valentine.
  • The 100-mile must be completed in 32 hours (19:12/mile average)
