April 24, 2025 (Ainsworth, NE) Weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin on 503rd Ave., south of Lynch, locally known as Redbird Road, in Boyd County, beginning at the intersection of Hwy 12 and 503rd Ave and continuing south for 1.2 miles, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Knife River Midwest of Sioux City, IA is the contractor for this project. Work includes asphalt paving, seeding, and pavement marking operations. Traffic lanes will temporarily be reduced to single lane traffic for daily construction. Traffic will be maintained with a pilot car and flaggers. Anticipated completion is the end of May.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
