Every year on June 14, Americans celebrate Flag Day. Not surprisingly, it’s also considered the most appropriate day to hold flag disposal ceremonies. The Holt County Veterans Office and American Legion will be conducting a disposal ceremony on June 14th at 5:30 p.m. The ceremony location is in the empty lot just North of Hwy 275 and 7th Street in O’Neill. In advanced, if you have a flag that is in need of proper disposal, please drop off at the Veterans Service Office in the Holt County Annex, Holt County Courthouse disposal box or at your local American Legion Post.
