- The Neligh Memorial Day Ceremony will begin at 9:30 AM on Monday, May 25, at the Antelope County Courthouse. The Program will then begin at 10:00 AM at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Neligh. This year’s Memorial Day service will feature keynote speaker Colonel Jon R. Beckenhauer, a Neligh native and decorated combat helicopter pilot whose life of service reflects the very spirit of this day. Come stand with your neighbors, your veterans, and your community as we honor the fallen. Let us remember together
- The Verdel American Legion Post #223 will have services at the following cemeteries on Monday, May 25:
9:45 a.m. Alford Cemetery
10:30 a.m. Riha Cemetery
11:00 a.m. Pischelville Cemetery
11:45 a.m. Riverview Cemetery
12:30 p.m. Verdel Cemetery – A Community Potluck will be held in the Verdel Community Hall after the Verdel Ceremony. - The O’Neill American Legion Simonson Post 93 Avenue of Flags will be put up at the O’Neill Cemetery on Friday, May 22, at 5:00 p.m. Flags will be taken down at the O’Neill Cemetery on Tuesday, May 26, at 5:00 p.m. All Legion members and volunteer help are welcome to help put up and take down the flags. Memorial Day Services will be on Monday, May 25, at 11:00 at the O’Neill Cemetery.
- Butte Memorial Day Service, May 25, 2026, at 10:00 am in the Butte Elementary Gym. Sponsored by the Butte American Legion with lunch at the Legion Hall following the services.
- Orchard Cemetery program Monday, May 25, at 10:00 am with speaker, Pastor Troy Watson. Royal Cemetery program to follow around 10:30 am.
