Leah Chohon Wins Cowboy 100, Other Local Results

Leah Chohon not only won the Women’s Division of the Cowboy 100 Race last weekend but she set a new women’s course record by finishing in a time of 20 hours, 12 minutes and 14 seconds.  Leah credited her pacer for the 100 mile trek, Matt Wecker. The 100 started in Atkinson on Saturday morning, September 27, 2025,  and finished in Valentine.

Also in the 100 Women’s Division, Teresa Simons of O’Neill finished in 3rd place with a time of 26 hours 36 minutes.

In the Men’s 100 Don Forker of Stuart finished in 13th with a time of 28 hours 28 minutes, Ryan Kelly of O’Neill 14th with a time of 29 hours 12 minutes, Dean Benson of O’Neill in 18th with a time of 29 hours 31 minutes, Dan Rentschler of O’Neill 19th with a time of 29 hours 31 minutes.

In the Cowboy 200 which started in Norfolk, NE on Friday, September 26 our two local competitors did a great job and finished the race.  Andrew Fehringer of O’Neill was in 23rd with a time of 77 hours 4 minutes and Frank Jesse of Chambers placed 24th in a time of 77 hours 52 minutes.
