O’Neill’s Life Chain will be held from 2-3 pm on Sunday, October 5. Registration begins at 1:30 pm at the corner of 3rd and Douglas.
Participants will pick up signs and prayer sheets when they register, then join the lines on both sides of Douglas St. and spend an hour in silent witness while praying for the end of abortion.
Boyd Holt Right to Life encourages people to not grow weary in fighting for life. “While some legal progress has been made, the real need is for hearts to be converted so there is no need nor necessity for abortion. Prayer is vital to raise support for moms and babies, and but more importantly to sway hearts to see that all life needs to be protected and respected. We may be at different ages and different stages of living, but none of us should be disposable,” said the local sponsors, while noting that minimizing people due to their abilities affects not only babies, but also the sick and disabled as evidenced by the growing trend toward assisted suicide, and mercy killing.
