
June 20, 2025 (Ainsworth, NE)—Weather permitting, work will begin June 23, 2025, on Hwy 11 south of Butte, from the Brush Creek Bridge to the Niobrara River, reference post 171.37 to reference post 175.99, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Knife River Midwest of Sioux City, IA is the contractor for this project. Work includes bridge repair, milling, concrete and asphalt surfacing, and seeding. Traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic signals, a pilot car, and flaggers. A ten-foot width restriction will be in effect at the bridge location. The anticipated completion date is the end of July.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
