Holt County 4-H Shooting Sports Hosts Successful Invitational at Fairgrounds

Chambers, NE – June 7, 2025 — The Holt County 4-H Shooting Sports Club welcomed 4-H youth marksmen from across the state to the Holt County Fairgrounds for their annual invitational, showcasing skill, sportsmanship, and community spirit in a day packed with competition and camaraderie.

Held under sunny skies, the June 7th event brought together more than 125 4-H participants to compete in disciplines including BB gun, air rifle, air pistol, shotgun, small bore pistol, .22 rifle, muzzleloader, and archery. The invitational served not only as a platform for young shooters to demonstrate their training and precision, but also as a celebration of the values that 4-H instills—responsibility, focus, and teamwork.

Volunteers, coaches, and families filled the grounds with encouragement and support, while adult & youth certified 4-H instructors ensured a safe and structured environment.

The Holt County 4-H Shooting Sports program continues to grow, offering youth hands-on education in firearm safety and marksmanship. With events like this, the club not only strengthens individual skills but also fosters a strong sense of community pride.
