The Village of Stuart will begin their electrical system switchover starting on September 26th. The switchover will be completed by dividing the Village into three different sections with each section completed on a different day. Please reference the maps located throughout the community at various businesses or the Village office for the day you will be affected. Outages each day are planned from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, but the Village and four other outside electrical crews will be working diligently to return power as expediently as possible. Please turn off large breakers or unplug major appliances and electronics but leave a light in the on position to alert you when power is restored. Please do not run generators without contacting the Village as they could possibly feed back into the system and cause injury. The Village of Stuart apologizes for the inconvenience this incurs. Once completed, the system will be more environmentally friendly, reliable, and will allow more efficient connections to the new, larger engine generator and solar farm being installed in the next couple of months.
