The City of Atkinson is among the grantees selected by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development’s (DED) and Civic and Community Center Financing Fund grantees. The city has received a grant for $58,866, which is 50 percent of the project’s total costs.
The Atkinson Community Center renovations project will include a new wet chemical fire suppression system and hood in the center’s kitchen, the replacement of two HVAC units, removal of the tile flooring and installment of new epoxy flooring throughout the building excluding the bathrooms and replacement of the three steel doors on the northside of the building.
