Vehicle 1: 2013 Dodge Avenger owned and driven by Kenady Stanton, age 22, of Bassett, NE. No passengers.
Vehicle 2: 2013 owned by Mitchell Equipment and driven by Tracy Garcia, age 47, of Atkinson, NE. No passengers.
Location of Accident: 0.6 miles east of Emmet, NE on Highway 20.
Investigating Officer: Sheriff Ben Matchett
Details: Vehicle 1, 2013 Dodge Avenger,was eastbound on Highway #20. Vehicle 2, 2013 Case IH 340 tractor, was eastbound on the shoulder of Highway #20. Driver of Vehicle 1 stated the sun was in her eyes and she became distracted. Vehicle 1 swerved right and hit the left rear tire of Vehicle 2. Vehicle 1 sustained total damage. Restraints were in use. Vehicle 2 sustained damage to the left tire and rim. O’Neill Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. Neither driver was injured in the crash.
