O’Neill And Neligh Nursing Homes Under New Receivership

On  Friday, March 23, 2018,  state officials put a receiver in charge of 21 nursing facilities in Nebraska.  This happened as the owner did not make payroll.

The facilities involved are owned by Cottonwood Healthcare, also known as Skyline with offices based in Wood Ridge, New Jersey.

The Department of Health and Human Services was alerted on Friday that Cottonwood would be unable to pay its employees.

The Attorney General’s office along with public health officials were able to set up a receivership and get it court approved.

Klaasmeyer and Associates were appointed to manage the facilities while a long term plan is worked out.

In the KBRX area facilities that are affected include O’Neill Care and Rehabilitation and Neligh care and Rehabilitation.
