A groundbreaking ceremony was held Friday, April 1 at Country Lane Retirement Village in northeast O’Neill. It was cold and windy morning but around 35 people were on hand. Lincoln Golike and Kyle Boothe with Blue Stone Partners were on hand to welcome the crowd as well as members of the Walnofer family and investors. The Bob & Bernadine Walnofer family are building a 36 room, 33,671 square feet new retirement home that will include independent living cottages, assisted living, and memory care rooms. The primary emphasis being on memory care. There will be 30 assisted living rooms and 6 independent living cottages.
The completion date is planned for Fall of 2016.
