O’Neill – Stuart Senior, Drew Schmaderer, and Boyd County Sophomore, Elly Zeisler, have been named KBRX’s Stadium Sports Top Dog Athletes of the Week!
Elly Zeisler had great back-to-back-to-back performances, scoring 20 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal, & 1 assist in a loss at Santee. She didn’t stop there, helping the Lady Spartans to an overtime victory over Stuart with 16 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 steals! Still not to be stopped, Elly scored 13 points, finished with 16 rebounds, 6 steals, and a block in a close loss at Ainsworth – picking up 3 double-doubles in a row!
Drew Schmaderer has had an awesome week in basketball, finishing with 2 double-doubles, and nearly picking up a 3rd! In an overtime loss at Boyd County, Drew scored 13 points, had 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. In a bounce back, 62-33 win vs Neligh-Oakdale, Schmaderer scored 16 points, pulled down 7 rebounds, had 7 steals, 4 assists, and a block! And getting back to a win streak with a 42-22 victory over CWC, Drew led the Broncos with 19 points, 14 rebounds, 1 steal and went 8/8 from the free throw line!
