Lincoln – It was a matchup between the 6 seed, Wynot Blue Devils and the 4 seed, St. Mary’s Cardinals for the Class D2 Football State Championship. Both offenses moved the ball at will throughout all four quarters of play and Wynot was able to outlast St. Mary’s, 71-60, setting a record for most points scored in a D2 playoff game! While the Cardinals came up just short, KBRX would like to congratulate the St. Mary’s on an awesome season – bringing home the State Runner Up trophy!
