
O’NEILL – Both the Irish and Gregory Juniors were strong on the bump on Tuesday, but Gregory was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-0 victory over the Irish. Xzavier Parks started the game for the Pinnacle Bank Irish Juniors and recorded 15 outs!
The Irish lost despite out-hitting Gregory six to five. James Eby led the Irish with two hits.
Gregory got on the scoreboard in the top of the first inning after Aiden Frasch grounded out, and Landon Keiser singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Hudson Fuhrer earned the win for Gregory as he surrendered six hits and zero runs over four and one-third innings, striking out five and walking three. Parks took the loss for Irish as he went five innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits, striking out nine and walking four.
Colt Keiser led Gregory with two hits in four at bats. Keiser and Frasch each drove in one run for Gregory. Cash Hemming stole two bases. Gregory turned one double play in the game and didn’t commit a single error in the field.
