
O’Neill – The first day of the Nebraska State High School Finals Rodeo was held in Valentine on Thursday, June 12th!
Over 150 high school rodeo athletes competed in the first round of all thirteen events. The top four competitors in each event at the state level will earn a berth to the National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs, Wyoming, from July 13-19.
Several area cowboys and cowgirls have finished in a good standing after the first round of competition.
