Junior High Lady Eagles Take Runner-Up Trophy at Home Invite

O’NEILL – On Tuesday April 22, the lady Eagles took the track at their home meet. It was a beautiful day for a track meet and many Eagle athletes took advantage earning the team a 2nd Place team finish.

The Eagle throwers led the way as seventh grader Brianna Kallhoff won the Shot Put with a throw of 30’2”. Jozy York took home second in the event with a throw of 27’6”. York threw the Discus 85’7” to earn herself 1st place in the event.

In other field events, Blakely Sudbeck broke the meet record in High Jump clearing 5’1”. She also earned herself 1st place in this event. Reese Boetcher also found herself on the medal stand in high jump clearing 4’6” for a 4th place finish. Two eagles found themselves on the medal stand in Pole Vault Reagan Lindsay cleared 6’0” to earn 5th place and Marissa Grosch cleared 6’6” to earn 3rd place. Sudbeck found herself back the medal stand in Long Jump. She earned the silver medal with a jump of 14’1.25”. Her teammate Taylee Wade was not far behind with a jump of 13’9.5” earning her 3rd place.

The Lady Eagles also found success on the track. Blakely Sudbeck ran the 100M Dash in 13.84 to earn 2nd Place in the event. Taylee Wade got 2nd in the 200M Dash with a time of 29.04. Kiarra Kennedy found ran the 400M Dash with a time of 1:07.39 to win the event. The Eagle relay teams earned top finishes as well. The 4×1 team of Taylee Wade, Madisyn Eichelberger, Addison Engelhaupt & Blakely Sudbeck earned 3rd place with a 54.98 time. Then in the 4x400M Relay Marissa Grosch, Reagan Lindsay, Madisyn Eichelberger & Taylee Wade were runners up in the event with a time of 4:47.68.

The Eagles travel to Boone Central on Saturday for the Mid States Conference Meet.
