PLAINVIEW – The Plainview Pirates hosted the 2025 Plainview Invitational from the Plainview Country Club on Saturday, April 12th.
The teams competing at the Plainview Invitational were Battle Creek, Bloomfield, Creighton, Crofton, CWC, EPPJ, Plainview, Laurel-CC, Neligh-Oakdale, O’Neill JV, Stanton, Summerland, Randolph, Wausa, and West Holt .
Winning the Plainview Invite was the Creighton Bulldogs as they finished with a 33o to shoot 2 strokes better than runner-up Battle Creek. Leading the Bulldogs was Calvin Wilmes as he finished as the individual runner-up shooting a 73. Wilmes finished tied with individual champion Brody Bessmer from Battle Creek. Teegan Burns also placed in the top 5 as he finished in 5th place shooting an 82. Ethan Kuhlman was the final Bulldog to earn a medal as he finished in 11th place shooting an 86.
The West Holt Huskies finished in 3rd place as a team as they finished with team score of 350. Nick Hansen just missed the top 5 as he shot an 82 to place 6th individually. Hansen was the lone medalist for the Huskies.
Other area medalists came from CWC, O’Neill JV, and Summerland. CWC Renegade William Jesse earned a 3rd place finish as he shot a 79. Daniel Kluver also earned a medal for the Renegades as he shot an 87 to place 13th. The O’Neill Eagles Junior Varsity team had two golfers finish in the top 15. Xzavier Parks shot an 83 to place 8th and Cameron Vogt shot an 87 to place 14th. Finally, the Summerland Bobcats placed two golfers in the top 15. Dane Miller finished in 10th place shooting an 85 while Michael Koenig shot an 87 to place 12th.
