Summerland FFA Accomplishments This Year

• Qualified 21 kids in LDE’s in 5 different events.
• Senior Livestock Judging team got 2nd place at districts and qualified for State.
• Parker Napier was District Star in Agribusiness
• We qualified 5 proficiency applications for the first round of state review in Kearney
  •  Parker Napier- District Champion in Turf Grass Management Entrepreneurship
  • Bennet Flenniken- District Champion in Sales and Service
  • Braelyn Bergman- District Champion in Grain Production Entrepreneurship
  • Carlee livingston- 2nd place Gold in Beef Production Entrepreneurship
  • Clair Krysl- 3rd place Gold in Beef Production Entrepreneurship
• Largest group of seniors getting their State Degree, 6!
• Chapter membership at highest number with 55 members in grades 7-12.

THESE BUSINESSES SUPPORT THE STUART FFA CHAPTER

Stuart FFA Chapter Membership:  30 in school members.  In addition, Brynn Almgren of the Stuart FFA Chapter is currently serving as a Nebraska State FFA officer, namely the State Secretary.

National FFA Week Activities: 

Throughout the week, we have daily themes for dress-up days.  These include Stationed by the Flag – America Day, Farmer Day Off – Wear pajamas, FFA t-shirt day, Hat Day and John Deere vs. Case IH Day.  We are sponsoring hidden FFA emblems, ag commodity guessing games, and daily trivia questions. We will have a teacher appreciation day to thank our administration, teachers and staff for their support.  On Wednesday, the Stuart FFA Boosters will sponsor a breakfast for the members before school and State FFA Officer, Calie Cockburn will be spending the day with our members.    

Upcoming Activities for the Stuart FFA Chapter:

• State Proficiency Review in Kearney, NE on February 22nd
  • 24 Stuart FFA Proficiency Applications will be reviewed
• District X Career Development Event Contests on February 25th at NECC
  • Contest Areas:  Agriscience, Ag Mechanics, Ag Sales, Envirothon, Farm Business Management, Food Science, Floriculture, Nursery & Landscape, Livestock Management, Welding, and Biotechnology.
• District X Career Development Event Contests on March 4^th @ Sargent
  • Contest Areas:  Meats, Agronomy, Vet Science, Natural Resources

• State FFA Convention on April 2^nd – 4^th in Lincoln
• Stuart FFA Chapter Banquet on April 28th

Chambers FFA Week Activities

Chambers FFA Gears Up for an Exciting FFA Week!

During FFA Week, students will compete for points through a variety of fun activities, including FFA/Ag Trivia, Find the Emblem, and Ag Olympics. Special treats will also be available—enjoy popcorn in the Ag Room on Tuesday and brownie sundaes on Thursday! On Friday, show your FFA spirit by wearing FFA apparel or blue and gold, and join us for Ag Olympics during 5th period.

Exciting Grant Awards for Chambers FFA

Chambers FFA is proud to be the recipient of two grants this school year! The Grants for Growing program, sponsored by Tractor Supply, allowed us to purchase a new grow tower. Thanks to this addition, K-12 students have had the opportunity to grow and sample a variety of fresh leafy greens throughout the year.

Additionally, we received the NIFA Grant through the Nebraska FFA Foundation, which has helped us expand agricultural literacy by purchasing agriculturally accurate picture books for our program.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Supporters

We extend our sincere gratitude to the O’Neill Vet Clinic and Dr. Mike Wood for selecting our chapter as recipients of the Zoetis Program. We also appreciate the generosity of Herbert Feed and Grain Co. for their donation in support of our chapter’s efforts. Your contributions make a meaningful impact on our students and agricultural education!

Celebrating Claire Woeppel’s Year as a State FFA Officer

It has been exciting to watch Claire Woeppel represent Chambers FFA and Nebraska FFA as a State Officer this year! Her dedication, leadership, and passion for agriculture have been inspiring, and we are so proud of all she has accomplished. From traveling across the state to connecting with members and advocating for agriculture, Claire has made a lasting impact. We can’t wait to see her at the State Convention in April.
