D-2 District Boys Golf Meet Results

Beemer – The D-2 District Boys Golf Meet took place from the Indian Trails Country Club just outside of Beemer, Nebraska, and we saw several area teams and athletes play well – each of them looking for their spot at the Class D State Boys Golf Meet!

The Creighton Bulldogs were steady across the board and secured the D-3 District Championship as a team, shooting a 346! They were led by Calvin Wilmes’ 84, finishing in 5^th place! Ethan Kuhlman was only a few strokes behind with an 86, also finishing in the top ten in 8^th place. Ethan Kuhl & Haiden Horstmann each shot an 88, finishing in a tie for 10^th place! And Teegan Burns was just a few behind them as well, shooting a 90.

It was a tight race for 3^rd place, only 3 strokes difference between 3^rd and 5^th place, but the Plainview Pirates were able to do just enough to reach the podium and qualify for State as a team with a score of 368! The Pirates were led by Jake Zuhlke, he shot an 88 and finished in 10^th place! Guy Wortman shot a 90, Jaxon Jelinek a 93, Colt Kromarek finished with a 97, and Zachary Frahm scored a 99.

Bloomfield’s Keldon Loecker was the individual champion from the D-3 District Boys Golf Meet, shooting an 80! Him and his teammate – Keaten Gilsdorf (87, 9^th place) – will compete from the Class D State Boys Golf Meet in a few weeks. Bloomfield shot a 371 as a team, three strokes away from the podium.
