O’Neill – The NSAA Girls State Wrestling Championships took place on February 17th & 18th and there were 11 State Medalists in the KBRX listening area!
There were 35 girls in the KBRX area that competed down in Omaha, 11 of which will bring home a medal. From District Finals to the State Wrestling Tournament, it’s one of the most grueling finishes to a sporting season!
The 11 medalists were highlighted by Felycia Kerkman of West Holt, as the Class B 125 pounder brought home the State Championship with a 2-1 decision breaker in the 1st tie-breaker round over Emma Glendy of Lakeview!
We had two State Runner-Ups, one 3rd place finish, three 4th place finishes, two 5th place finishes, & two wrestlers finished in 6th place.
