O’Neill – EPPJ Junior – Braelyn Martinsen and Niobrara/Verdigre Junior – Kash Neilsen have been named KBRX’s Stadium Sports Top Dog Athletes of the Week!
During the NVC Tournament, Braelyn had an outstanding final two games to help the Lady Wolfpack bring home 1st place! In the semifinal, Braelyn recorded a double-double with 23 points on 8/13 shooting, 3/6 from deep, had 12 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 assists. Then in the championship game she had another double-double, leading the offense with 29 points on 8/18 shooting, 2/5 from 3, 11/18 from the free throw line, had 13 rebounds and 6 steals! Braelyn played a huge role in helping EPPJ bring home the NVC Girls Basketball Championship!
Kash Neilsen had back-to-back great performances, helping the Cougars to a couple victories! In his matchup vs Santee, Kash led the offense with 14 points, 9 rebounds, 7 steals, 4 assists, and shot 6/8 from the free throw line, helping Niobrara/Verdigre to a 68-26 victory over the Warriors. Then in his latest game, Neilsen once again led the Cougars offensively with 18 points along with 7 rebounds in their 50-47 victory over West Holt!
