O’Neill – West Holt Girls Wrestler Carleigh Jackson and of St. Mary’s Boys Basketball Lane Bybee have been named KBRX’s Stadium Sports Top Dog Athletes of the Week!
Carleigh Jackson went 5-0 from the Sandhills Valley Tournament over the weekend, matching a school record she had previously set with a pin in 11 seconds! She also went on to win the championship match by pin in 19 seconds, helping the West Holt Girls Wrestling team secure 1st place! Carleigh also showcased outstanding sportsmanship, helping provide aid to her first opponent after she suffered an injury during their bout. KBRX would like to congratulate Carleigh for an amazing performance!
Lane Bybee scored 15 points in a St. Mary’s victory over Neligh-Oakdale on Tuesday, December 16th. Those 15 points helped the senior pass 1000 career points! When Bybee transferred from Dundy County Stratton, he had accumulated 957 points through his first 3 seasons. And, with more continued success, he passes a huge career milestone! Congratulations to Lane for his success Tuesday and throughout his career!
