O’Neill – Kanyon Allemang of Summerland & Cash Wickersham of Niobrara/Verdigre have been named KBRX’s Stadium Sports Top Dog Athletes of the Week!
Sophomore Setter/Outside Hitter – Kanyon Allemang had an amazing performance during the Niobrara/Verdigre Triangular! She racked up the kills over two matches, tallying 24 total kills. She added 3 aces, 2 blocks, 16 digs, 17 assists, and she had a triple double in the match against Boyd County! She played a critical role in Summerland going 2-0 at the Niobrara Verdigre Triangular and we congratulate her on her amazing performance!
Senior Quarterback & Linebacker – Cash Wickersham showed incredible heart, resilience, and performed at a high level against Boyd County! He completed 7 of his 13 passes for 108 yards, two of which were for touchdowns! He also added 32 carries for 136 yards and a 46 yard rushing touchdown! His incredible game didn’t stop on offense as he led the team in tackles with 25, one of which was for a loss! While the Cougars lost a close game to Boyd County, we would like to recognize his effort and incredible performance by naming him this week’s Stadium Sports Top Dog Athletes of the Week!
