Valentine Cross Country Invite Results

Valentine – While it was a smaller field for the Valentine Cross Country Invite, it still featured quite a few area runners, 2 local individual champions, 23 runners placed (12 boys, 11 girls) in the top 15, and several teams will bring home some hardware.

JR Max Berg of O’Neill finished in 1^st place in the boys race, SR Angela Frick of North Central brings home 1^st place in the girls race. O’Neill boys bring home 1^st place as a team with 7 points, North Central girls secure 1^st place with 12 points.

The O’Neill Boys bring home 1^st place as a team, finishing with 7 points. The Eagles had three top 5 finishers (JR Drake Berg 1^st – 18:20.40, JR Paul Fonseca 2^nd – 19:15.10, FR Luna Hernandez Alonso 4^th – 19:48.70), three more runners in the top 10 (SR Tomas Arciniego 6^th – 20:20.10, SO Evan Cole 7^th – 20:40.20, SR Brandon Romero 9^th – 21:19.90), & two more O’Neill runners finish in the top 15 (FR Tyson Becker 11^th – 22:37.90, JR Brock Latzel 15^th – 23:42.50).

North Central finish in 2^nd place in the boys race, scoring 21 points. The Knights were led by SO Nate Frick in 3^rd place (19:41.50), SR Layton Deibler in 8^th place (21:03.50), SR Andrew Rowan finishes in 10^th place (22:03.00), & Trevor Keller rounds up the runners who placed for North Central at 14^th (23:30.90). SO Eric Bearnson was just outside the top 15 in 16^th place (24:05.60)

The North Central Lady Knights finish in 1^st place as a team scoring 12 points, edging out O’Neill by 1 point! SR Angela Frick finished in 1^st place (23:06.50) and JR Fallon Wietzke was right behind her in 2^nd (25:36.90). JR Zoey Snyder then finishes in 9^th place (28:36.70).
