Tri-county Titans Defeated By Valentine Seniors

ORCHARD – The Tri-county Titan Seniors fell to the Valentine Seniors 7-2 on Sunday.

Valentine Seniors opened the scoring in the second after Jekhi Williams doubled, scoring two runs.

Valentine added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Trace Buechle grounded out, Tri-County committed an error, and Cinch Miller walked, each scoring one run.

Trace Buechle earned the win for Valentine as he surrendered five hits and two runs over five innings, striking out four and walking one. Ryan Rifer took the loss for Tri-County going five innings, allowing six runs (four earned) on seven hits, striking out six and walking three.

Rifer led the Tri-County Titans with two hits in three at bats. Dane Miller and Connor Thomson each drove in one run for Tri-county Titans.

Jekhi Williams led Valentine with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The left fielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Isaac Cronin led Valentine with two hits in four at bats. Cinch Miller paced the Valentine Seniors with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Dominic Beebout stole three bases. Valentine ran wild on the base paths, accumulating eight stolen bases for the game.
