
ORCHARD – Both teams were strong on the bump on Tuesday, but Tri-County Titans Jrs defeated Creighton 3-0. Jacob Pierzina started the game for Tri-county and recorded 21 outs.
Tri-county got on the board in the top of the sixth inning after Isaac Hoferer singled, scoring two runs, and Jacob Pierzina grounded out, scoring one run.
Jacob Pierzina earned the win for the young Titans. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking two. Braxton Eggerling took the loss for Creighton. The starting pitcher went five and two-thirds innings, allowing one run (zero earned) on three hits, striking out 10 and walking two.
Isaac Hoferer provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Tri-county with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Jason Shaver, Isaac Hoferer, Landon Nelson, and Isaac Mendoza each collected one hit for Tri-county Titans Jrs. Isaac Hoferer and Max Bruce each stole multiple bases for Tri-county Titans Jrs. Tri-county Titans Jrs stole six bases in the game.
Coen Horstmann, Kelly Janess, Braxton Eggerling, Tomik Duffy, and Drey Wagner each collected one hit for Creighton.
