O’Neill – The Gothenburg Track & Field hosted the 2025 Junior High Track & Field Championships on Saturday, May 17th.

The KBRX area had athletes from Boyd County, Creighton, Neligh-Oakdale, North Central, O’Neill, and West Holt competing. The KBRX area had two state champions from the Junior High Track & Field Championships! Hayden Hoffman of Boyd County won state in the boys discus with a throw of 158-10. Hoffman also earned a 3rd place medal in the shot put. KBRX’s other area State Champion was West Holt’s Grant Poessnecker. He earned a State Championship in the boys shot put as he threw 48-08!
