WAYNE – The Wayne Country Club hosted the 2025 Wayne High Mac Invitational on Thursday, May 8th.
There were 14 total varsity teams that competed at the Wayne Invite and 20 total golfers medaled on the day. The teams competing at the Wayne Country Club were Aquinas, Blair, Boone Central, Columbus Lakeview, Crofton, Laurel-CC, Oakland-Craig, O’Neill, South Sioux City, Tekamah-Herman, TCNE, West Holt, West Point-Beemer, and Wayne.
The O’Neill Eagles came away victorious as they earned the team championship with a score of 323! The Eagles were led by Logan Brabec who finished with a one stroke over par 73. Brabec finished as the individual Runner-up for the Eagles. Turner Heiss finished in the top 5 as he shot a 6 over par 78 to place 5th. James Eby was the final medalist for the Eagles as he shot a 12 over par 84.
The West Holt Huskies finished in 4th place as a team with a team score of 346. The Huskies had one medalist on the day as Nick Hansen finished in the top 10. Hansen shot an 8 over par 80 to place 10th for the Huskies.
