The American Vietnam War Commemoration Organization, in conjunction with the Holt, Boyd and Wheeler County Veteran Service Offices, will be presenting the Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin to all Vietnam Veterans. Veterans include those who have served on active duty in the US Armed Forces at any time during the period of November 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, regardless of location during their time of service. The Lapel Pins will be presented at the following Veteran’s Day Programs: Friday, November 9th at 10:30 a.m. at the O’Neill Public High School; Monday, November 12th at 9 a.m. in Atkinson at the West Holt Public Schools; 10:30 a.m. in Bartlett at the Wheeler Central Public High School and at 2:30 p.m. in Spencer at the Boyd County Public High School. In rare instances when an honoree is not able to attend these public events, the pin may be presented during a private ceremony at a later date.
