Carsynn Meyer, and the Mountain Region Team finished the Little League World Series last weekend.
On Saturday, August 29, in the United States title game, the Mountain Region team, also known as the Paseo Verde Little League from Henderson, Nevada, defeated the Great Lakes Team from Ohio by a score of 12-to-2. In that game, Carsyn Meyer became the first girl to get a hit and record an RBI in the U.S. Championship game.
Carsynn is the 12-year-old daughter of Seth & Tiffany Meyer. Seth is a 1997 graduate of Orchard High School and is the son of Teri and the late Jerry Meyer. Carsynn has many relatives in the KBRX listening area. Carsynn plays for the Paseo Verde Little League team out of Henderson, Nevada.
That win on Saturday moved them into the Little League World Series Championship on Sunday, August 30, where they faced Curacao. In that game, the team from Willemstad, Curacao, took home the 2026 Little League World Series championship with an 11-2 win over the Mountain Region team from Henderson, Nev.
