O’Neill – St. Mary’s/O’Neill Junior Golfer Logan Brabec & St. Mary’s Senior Emerson Mlnarik have been named KBRX’s Stadium Sports Top Dog Athletes of the Week!
Logan Brabec has performed amazingly to start the Boys Golf season, in some non-optimal weather to boot! In the O’Neill-Wayne Dual he helped lead the Eagles to a victory in a big way, shooting an even par 36! Then in a dual against Neligh-Oakdale, with weather that was certainly not conducive to low scores, Logan led the way again shooting -2, finishing with a 34! That helped tie a 9-hole team record, 150 at O’Neill Golf Club! With Brabec helping lead the way, O’Neill went 2-0 in duals during the last couple weeks!
Emerson Mlnarik competed at the Sandhills Invite and performed at a high level! Mlnarik won both hurdles events, running 17.29 in the 100M Hurdles, and 50.88 in the 300M Hurdles! Emerson was also a key for both the 4x100M & 4x400M Relay teams, helping the team finish in 4th in the 4×100 and 3rd in the 4×400! Emerson had to come from behind as the last leg of the 4x400M relay to secure a 3rd place finish for the Lady Cardinals!
