Monday, March 10th, 22 O’Neill High School Band members traveled to Wayne, America to rehearse and perform in the 2025 Midstate Conference Festival Of Honor Bands.
Guest conductor for the Symphonic Band was Dr. Wade Howles. He is currently the Instrumental Music Instructor at Pound Middle School in Lincoln.
Symphonic Band members included: Riley Roessler, Anna Otte, Lily Huber, Eli Banks, Suhani Chaudhari, Alex Otte, Charlotte Welsh, Tate Diediker, Isaac Sunum, Jack Wlaschin, Iann Grosch, Benson Bohlender, Ashley Sidak, Brooklynn Cahoy and Alex Nelson. Emily Krause was chosen but was absent.
Dr. David Bohnert, Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities at Wayne State College, directed the Wind Ensemble.
Representing O’Neill in the Wind Ensemble were: Kaitlyn Hinrichs, Hailey Romesser, Celia Mott, Logan Bradshaw, Reese Grosch, Caleb Laursen and Bodie Latzel
Senior Percussionist Caleb Laursen commented “I’m Grateful for the opportunity to perform at the Midstate Conference Honor Band one more time. It was a lot of fun to hang out with my friends and make new ones!”
