The Christmas Closet is a great way to donate your good, rarely used items to bless others this Christmas. In an effort to spend less and give more, consider donating good used items to the Christmas Closet. Christmas Closet donations will be given away to those in need following the Mobile Food Pantry distribution at 6 PM, Thursday, December 19th at the O’Neill Community Center. Some suggested donations include items that would make a nice Christmas gift for someone. Things like games and children’s toys, home decor, Christmas decorations, good, clean winter clothing, and small kitchen appliances like toasters, blenders, slow cookers, electric mixers and coffee pots. Everything needs to be complete, clean and in good working order. The last day to drop off donations is Sunday, Dec. 15. Bring your items to any of the following churches in O’Neill: Assembly of God, Christ Lutheran, Faith Community, First Christian, First Presbyterian, First United Methodist, St. Patricks Parish Center, Word of Life Assembly of God, or call Chrisy Yates at 402-336-6202 for pick up or volunteer opportunities. Items can also be left at her home, located next to the O’Neill Elementary School at 1717 N. 4th St.
