Every Friday through Lent


The O'Neill Knights of Columbus will be holding a Fish Fry on Friday evenings. Starting at 5:30 and serving till 7:30 at the KC Hall in West O'Neill.  Adults $8 Kids $5 and kids 5 and under eat free.  Come enjoy a great meal every Friday night during lent.

TUESDAY MARCH 3RD


On Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:30 p.m. will be the West Holt Public Schools Kindergarten Round Up at the West Holt Public School.  For more information contact the school at 402-925-2848

There will be a Soup Supper at the Golden Age Senior Center in O'Neill on Tuesday, March 3rd with serving from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. There is 4 kinds of soup and everyone is welcome to attend.

Catholic Daughters will be meeting Tuesday, March 3rd, 7 p.m. at the K.C. Hall in O'Neill.

There will be a Legion Riders meeting on Tuesday, March 3rd at 7 p.m. at Chesterfield West in O'Neill.  All members are encouraged to attend.

Atkinson is having the 3rd discussion on the revitalization of our city for our Comprehensive Plan, Tuesday, March 3rd at 7 p.m. at the Community Center. We will focus on land uses and have a hands on activity.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4TH

Sharon Spencer will not be in the Avera Medical Clinic in Chambers on March 4.

There will be an Eagles meeting Wednesday, March 4th at 7:30 p.m. at the Aerie.

The O'Neill American Legion Auxillary will be meeting Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Holt County Annex.

The O'Neill FFA Booster Club will meet Wednesday, March 4, at 7:00 pm in the Ag Room at at O'Neill Public HIgh Schoo.  Parents, alumni and community members are encouraged to attend.

 

THURSDAY, MARCH 5TH


There will be an open meeting for the Golden Township Meeting on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the home of Gloria Montgomery, located at 85905 510th Ave.  This meeting is open to all Golden Township residents including the north side of the North Street in Ewing.  New board members are needed to attend for particular input. Please plan on attending.

FRIDAY MARCH 6TH


The Neligh American Legion Post 172 Fish Fry will be held Friday, March 6th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Legion Club, 115 W 3rd Street, Neligh.  To go orders are available.  Menu: Fish, Cheesy Hashbrowns, Beans, Dinner rolls, Dessert **Grilled Cheese Available**  Cost is adults $8 children under 10 are $4.

There will be an all you can eat community fish fry at the Chambers Community Center on Friday, March 6 from 6 to 8 pm.  Cost is Adults $15, Over 65 $10 and kids under 10 free.

SUNDAY, MARCH 8TH


The Clearwater Methodist Church is having a soup/sandwich supper on Sunday, March 8th, at the Legion Hall in Clearwater from 11:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. free will donation.

There will be a Cribbage Tournament on Sunday, March 8th at 1:30 p.m. at the Central Bar in Stuart.  Entry fee is $5.  Everyone is welcome

MONDAY, MARCH 9TH

There will be a Bake Sale in support of the Holt County Animal Shelter at Torpin's Rodeo Market on Thursday, March 12th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

FRIDAY MARCH 13TH


The Outlaw Trail Scenic Byway meeting will be held Friday, March 13, 2015, at the Lynch Niobrara Valley Retreat Center. Committees meet at 10:00 AM. Business meeting at 1:00 PM. 

TUESDAY MARCH 17TH


The Atkinson Public Library Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. followed by the Atkinson Friends Annual Membership meeting at 7 p.m. at the library meeting room.  All members are encouraged to attend.

MARCH 9TH THROUGH THE 23RD


The Atkinson Public Library's Annual Art Show, featuring work done by area kindergarten through 8th grade students, will be on display at the library through March 23rd.  Stop and view the local talent.

Atkinson Head Start 2015/2016 School Year


The Atkinson Head Start Center is taking applications for the 2015/2016 school year.  Clients must bring copy of income verification documents (most current income tax form, or a year's worth of paycheck stubs etc.) to attach to the completed application form.
Children must be 3-4 years old to be eligible.  Children with disabilities are also encouraged to apply.  It is not necessary for children to be present for the application process.
Your cooperation in coming to the Head Start Center to put in your application will be appreciated.  For more information call the Head Start Staff at 402-925-2058 or stop in at 406 East 2nd Street Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Head Start is a comprehensive child development program sponsored by Central Nebraska Community Services, Loup City, NE.
