The Orchard Public Library will be holding a Used Book Sale Saturday, April 18th through Saturday, May 2nd.

MONDAY, APRIL 27


LifeServe Blood Center will hold a blood drive on Monday, April 27 from 2 pm to 6 pm at Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill. Walk in's are welcome.

The Atkinson Antique Club will meet on Monday, April 27 at 6:30 pm at The Alley in Atkinson. The lesson will be on local memorabilia.

Dr. Gutshall will not be at the Avera Medical Clinic in Spencer on Monday, April 27th

TUESDAY, APRIL 28


Chambers FCCLA will be hosting the Red Cross Bloodmobile in Chambers on Tuesday, April 28 from 10-4 at the American Legion in Chambers. PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN DATE. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are appreciated. Please call the school during the day to make an appointment or in the evening call Marilyn Whitaker at 402-482-5665. 

The Butte/Naper Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, April 28 from 2:45 pm to 6:00 pm at the Butte Community Center.  You can make an appointment online at www.bloodhero.com or Phyllis Camin at 402-832-5777. Blood is desprately needed so please make an appointment.

WEDNESDAY APRIL 29TH


Relay for Life of Holt County Committee and Team Captain Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 29th at 7 p.m. in the meeting room at Cubby's.  We are "Cruising for a Cure" this year and we need your help. Please help us Finish the Fight by starting a team, getting involved on the planning committee or becoming a sponsor.  Don't forget to register if you are a cancer survivor and be our honored guest. FRIDAY, MAY 8TH


The O'Neill Rotary Club is presenting the Holt & Boyd County Girls on the Run Event on Friday, May 8th at 5:30 p.m. at Ford Park in O'Neill.  On site registration will be held from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. that day.  Cost is $25 to register that day and does not include a shirt.

SATURDAY, MAY 2ND


Saturday, May 2nd at the Clearwater Legion they will be listening to music by Mike Behnk and other musicians with food provided while they celebrate David's Behnk's birthday along with other May birthdays.  The public is invited to attend.

MONDAY, MAY 11


The O'Neill Public School Board of Education will hold its regular  meeting at the School Administrative Office at 410 East Benton in O'Neill on Monday, May 11 at 7:30 pm. The meeting will include the holding of a public hearing to discuss, consider, and receive input on the Student Fees Policy #504.19. The agenda is kept continuously current and may be reviewed at the same location.

An open house honoring retiring Clearwater/Orchard teachers, Paul Horman, Betty Schomberg, and Donna Ziems, will be held on Sunday, May 17th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in the multipurpose room at the Clearwater School.  A short presentation will be held beginning at 3:00 p.m.  The public is invited and encouraged to attend.  

O'NEILL HEAD START


The O'Neill Head Start is currently taking applica;tions for the upcoming 2015-2016 school year.  This is for a morning class only. We serve children ages 3 and 4 in our Preschool.  Children with disabilities are also encouraged to apply.  There is no cost for your child to attend Lucky Learners.  If interested please call 402-336-4309 to schedule a time to fill out an application.

Atkinson Head Start 2015/2016 School Year


The Atkinson Head Start Center is taking applications for the 2015/2016 school year.  Clients must bring copy of income verification documents (most current income tax form, or a year's worth of paycheck stubs etc.) to attach to the completed application form.
Children must be 3-4 years old to be eligible.  Children with disabilities are also encouraged to apply.  It is not necessary for children to be present for the application process.
Your cooperation in coming to the Head Start Center to put in your application will be appreciated.  For more information call the Head Start Staff at 402-925-2058 or stop in at 406 East 2nd Street Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Head Start is a comprehensive child development program sponsored by Central Nebraska Community Services, Loup City, NE.
