The Upper Elkhorn NRD will be screening private drinking water wells for nitrates during the upcoming Holt County Fair.  Anyone interested in having their water checked should plan to bring a cup of water in a clean container on Friday August 7 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  Stop by and visit the NRD booth, spin the prize wheel and order your trees for the upcoming season.

The Village of Page will be sprayed for mosquitoes every Sunday evening through September starting on June 7.   


ANAC Travel Show is now on display at the O'Neill Public Library. It will be on display for the next three weeks.

Anyone that exhibited during Summerfest at the O'Neill Public Library is please reminded to come and pick up your display at the front desk of the library.


Construction on Hynes Avenue between 9th & 10th Street will begin Wednesday, July 29th.  The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.  This will be closed to all traffic starting Wednesday, July 29th.

Free Back to School Clothing Drive will be held Tuesday, August 4th from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church in O'Neill. 


The Village of Stuart will be fogging for mosquitos on Wednesday, August 5th weather permitting. 


The Methodist Church Ice Cream Social will be held in Ford Park Saturday, August 8th.  They will be giving away ice cream cones from 9 to 11 a.m.


The St. Boniface 4-Person Scramble Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday, August 9th starting at Noon.  It will be $200.00 a team which will include 9 holes of golf and a Prime Rib Meal.  Meal only tickets can be purchased for $25.00 serving from 5:00-7:30 pm at the Atkinson-Stuart Country Club.  Tickets can be purchased at the Tri-County Bank in Stuart and Atkinson or at the rectory.   If you would like to sponsor a team, donate a flag prize or sign up a team please contact Becky Estill 402-340-9498 or Jared Wolf 402-340-7213.


There will be a meeting with Sen. Ebke on Monday, August 10th at 7 p.m. at the Blarney Stone in the Nebraska Room.  The senator will be discussing Convention of States.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. 

The Royal REDC and Q125 Meeting will be held on Monday, August 10th at 8 p.m. at the Royal Gym.

The O'Neill Public School Board of Education will hold it's regular meeting at the School Administrative Offices, 410 East Benton, on Monday, August 10th at 6:30 p.m.  The agenda is kept continuously current and may be reviewed at the same location.


The Neligh American Legion Auxiliary is sponsoring a Pillow Cleaning Day on Tuesday, August 11th at the American Legion in Neligh from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  For more information please call 712-378-2918


Christ Lutheran Church in O'Neill will be sponsoring their Annual Christ Light Kick-Off Sunday, August 16th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the O'Neill Swimming Pool.  Christ Light is our midweek program for Preschool through 8th grade, we will have more information that evening for new comers.  This program is open to everyone that would like to attend.  We have classes almost every Wednesday evening through the school year, 5:30 p.m. is supper and we encourage the entire family to eat together then classes start at 6 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m.  Come join us for an evening of swimming, fellowship and fun.  Hope to see you at the pool!
