In fulfilling its responsibility to optimize the health and healing of every Veteran, VA is currently embracing the opportunity to moving away from a problem-based disease healthcare approach to a patient centered focus. To accomplish this, VHA created the Office of Patient Centered Care and Cultural Transformation. During the month of October, the O'Neill Outreach Clinic will be supporting the Veterans Affairs efforts in Patient Centered Care.
This new office became operational at the end of 2010. It is charged with making sure VA tranforms from physician-centered care to personalized, proactive, patient centered care based on relationships--relationships built on trust and committed to positive results over the Veteran's lifetime.
Veterans are encouraged to stop by the clinic to learn about the services offered at the O'Neill Outreach Clinic and to share feedback with VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System's leadership about their health care experiences.
The Atkinson/Stuart Food Pantry will be open on Mondays, from 2:00pm until 5:30pm at St. John's Lutheran Church in Atkinson.
Consider donating your change to the Holt County Animal Shelter! It takes $1,000 to open one more kennel space, if 100 people give just 33 cents a day now through New Years they could raise $999!
There is a donation box at Casey's General Store in O'Neill for the dogs at Holt County Animal Shelter with a list of things that the dogs could really use.
