The Pitch, hit, and run Competition that was to be held in Neligh today, Monday, May 20th  is postponed to May 21 at 6pm

The Atkinson Antique Club will meet at Westside at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 2th.  The lesson is on "ice cream" and it's history.  Feel free to bring an ice cream artifact, scoop or other related item, or your favorite ice cream dish to share with the club.

O'Neill's Gun Club will open tonight at 6:30 and will be opened every Monday  Evening till Fall.

Tuesday,May 21 is the next meeting date for the Spencer Parkinson's Disease Group. As  it will be held in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church fellowship hall in Spencer   The meeting time is 2:30 pm. Our program will be a general discussion about PD and planning for the rest of the year's programs. I know May is a busy month, but I hope you can attend. The VFW Auxiliary 926 will have the regular meeting Tuesday May 21, 2013. This meeting will be at the post on south Harrison street at 7:00 p.m.  Please remind one person to come to this meeting.

There will be a Chicken and Biscuit Evening Meal at the Golden Age Senior Center in O'Neill on Tuesday, May 21st from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

The Foodbank for the Heartland Mobile Food Pantry sponsored by the O'Neill First United Methodist Church will be dispersing food Tuesday, May 21st at the O'Neill Community Center beginning at 6 p.m.  There is no income criteria, but the goal is to provide food to families where the need is great and resources are limited.  Volunteers are needed from 5 to 7 p.m. if you would like to help with this ministry.

Page American Legion Post 315 & Auxilary is holding their fourth  Annual Steak Feed Fundraiser at the Kountry Korner Cafe, Page Neberaska, on Friday, May 24th.  Salad, Ribeye Steak,  Baked Potato & Dessert  for $15.00 per person.  This delicious Meal will be served from  6:00pm. -9:00pm.  

The Board of Health for the North Central District Health Department will be holding their regular business and annual meeting on Friday, May 24, 2013, with roll call starting at 10:30a.m.
 This meeting will take place at the office of North Central District Health Department, located at 422 East Douglas, in O'Neill, Nebraska (68763).  A current agenda and meeting minutes
are available at the District Health Department's office.

4-H Practice for the twenty-two's will be held from 2-4 at the Chambers Fair Ground and also again on the the 26th of May.

Ewing Funfest Community Church Service will be held Sunday, May 26th at 10 a.m. at the Full Gospel Church.  Everyone is welcome.

The Ewing Funfest Dance with music by The Rumbles will be from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Ewing Fire Hall.  ID required and NO coolers allowed.

Shotgun start is at 9 a.m.; dinner and prizes follow the final round. The entry fee for each four-person team is $160. It is limited to 24 teams, so get your team in early! Registration fees must be paid by May 31. Register by calling Amanda Broberg at Tilden Community Hospital, 402-368-5343. All proceeds benefit TCH’s heart monitor project.

The event includes an 18-hole four-player scramble, silent auction and more. Sign up a team for $300. The O'Neill Library now has 1040 instruction books to help with your taxes.

Starting Monday, April 22nd the Village of Ewing will be flushing the fire hydrants every Monday weather permitting for the next two months.

There will be sign-up sheets available during game times, by the concession stand at the O’Neill soccer fields, for any players or coaches interested in going to the AYSO Heart of America Soccer tournament and/or the Midwest Cup tournament. Transitions, a grief support group for person's who have experienced the death of a loved one will meet the first Thursday of every month at the Golden Living Center in O'Neill from 2 to 3 p.m.

There are AA Meetings in Atkinson every Tuesday and every Thursday.  Tuesday is the 12 & 12 Study (closed meeting) at 8 PM at the Presbyterian Church on Highway 20.  Every Thursday there is a Big Book Study (closed meeting) at 8 PM at the Good Samaritan Center in Atkinson and an Open Meeting at 8 PM at the Presbyterian Church in Atkinson.

Stuart Community Church is a pick up site for the Atkinson/Stuart Food Pantry the first Monday of every month.  For applications or questions please contact Linda Nekuda at 402-340-2273.  The church is open from 3 to 5 p.m. on the first Monday of the month and is also open the last Friday of the month for signup for the following month from 3 to 5 p.m.

The Atkinson Food Pantry is open the first Monday of every month from 2 PM to 5:30 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Atkinson.

The O'Neill Food Pantry will be open on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 4 PM. For an appointment, contact Michele at CNCS at 336-4298 Ext. 26.

The Wheeler County Food Pantry is open Monday through Friday by appointment for Wheeler County residents.  It is located in Ericson at Sandhills Baptist Fellowship, 307 Central Ave.  Call 308-653-2163 for information or to make an appointment.

The Holt County Historical Society is open regular hours from 10 AM to 4 PM Monday through Thursday.

Community Peer Tobacco Cessation Support Groups Meetings on Tuesday evenings from 6 PM to7 PM at Avera St Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill, Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh on Wednesdays at 7 PM to 8 PM, Osmond Hospital on Thursday evenings at 7 PM to 8 PM and at Creighton Area Health Services in Creighton every other Tuesday evening from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM.  No pre-registration or cost to attend.
