Spencer’s Hometown Holidays

Spencer’s Hometown Holidays will be held Friday, December 6th beginning at 5:00 pm with business open houses.  Be sure to stop by the local businesses, check out their specials and register for the Spencer Bucks Drawings to be held later that evening.  Many businesses will be open until 6:30 pm.  A list of participating business is found in the Spencer Advocate and on fliers throughout town.  At 6:45 pm,the Parade of Lights will take place.  The parade route will start at Mike’s Body Shop and go north down Highway 281 to the school. Upon completion of the parade, the lighting of the Christmas tree will take place in the Lion’s Park.  From there, people will proceed to the Spencer Community Hall for the free-will soup supper.  Santa and Mrs. Claus are scheduled to make an appearance.  Children can get their picture taken with them and also create a holiday craft.  There will be an ugly sweater competition for children, women and men.  Prizes awards for 1st through 3rd places.  To conclude the evening there will be a drawing for Spencer Bucks.  Hope to see everyone there!
