Food Service

  • The Alley in Atkinson is open every day from 11 am to 9 pm. We are offering  carryout, curbside pickup, and delivery. Call 402-925-8400 or go to thealleyatkinson.com to order online. Thanks for your support during this challenging time.
  • Atkinson/Stuart food pantry will be having an extended emergency drive thru food pantry on Tuesday March 24th from 2:00 to 4:00 at the food pantry in Atkinson. This will be a prepackaged pantry. You are asked to remain in vehicle and come to the side door to pick up food boxes. All paperwork will be verbal of how many in household. Everyone in need is welcome. Questions call 402-340-2273
  • Brush Creek Brewing Company: Starting Thursday, March 19th, we will be going to a carry out / to go basis ONLY. Every day we will have a full menu, including Lent menu items, available to order by phone (402-925-2629). Our hours and days of operation will be changing to the following until further notice: OPEN: Monday-Saturday 5-9pm. CLOSED: Sundays. No need to call beforehand for getting your Stock Tanks and Growlers filled. Just walk in to see our current selection and we’ll get you on your way with fresh cold beer in minutes. If you have growlers to bring in, please wash them well. Like always, we will trade out your growler for fresh, clean, and sanitized ones.
  • Cast Iron Bar & Grille: To reduce inventory costs, we will only be offering a smaller set menu. So basically burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads. Sides we will basically have all but baked potatoes, mash, corn and things we have to heat up. This will help us reduce inventory and let us keep more money in checking the account.   • Corner Bar in Butte is open 11:30 to 1:30 Monday through Friday for carry-out, curbside pickup, and delivery in Butte; 5:30-9:00 Monday through Friday for curbside pickup and carryout.  Also, Friday and Saturday, 5:30-9:00 curbside, carryout, and delivery.  Also have offsale of liquor and beer.
  • Cubby’s Cenex Gas Station in O’Neill will have new hours from 5:00AM – 11:00PM.  Pumps will still be open 24 hours with pay at the pump, with the exclusion of high flow diesel and DEF (pumps 13-20). Deli lunch will still be available for take out only 11-2.  Kitchen will be available for chicken and pizza orders, closing at 7:00 pm M-F and 6:00 pm on weekends.
  • Douglas Street Coffee shop will be open for drive thru and to-go orders, Monday thru Friday, 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, but CLOSED on Saturday/Sunday.
  • Dairy Queen in O’Neill (3/17): Closed dining room. Open for take out and drive-thru. Offering free takeout sack lunches on Saturdays and Sundays through April 5 to students in our area schools, time is 11 AM to 2 PM.  Call 402-336-1115

  • McDonald’s in O’Neill (3/17): Open for drive-thru or walk in take out.
  • McNally’s Corner are open from 11AM-2PM and 5PM-9PM right now till we get through this. Dining room is closed. We also have take out and we can deliver within the city limits of O’Neill. Call 402-336-9921 and continue to support your small businesses.
  • The Nebrask Inn in Gross will be offering curbside pick up and delivery to Lynch, Bristow, Spencer, and Butte, NE and Pickstown and Wagner, SD of BBQ ribs and fish on Friday, April 3rd.  Just call 402-583-9922 to place your order.  Curbside pickups are also available for regular menu items on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights.  Thank you.
  • Taco Johns in O’Neill dining room is closed but they are happy to serve you through the drive thru.
  • Subway in O’Neill new store hours are 11-7, Monday through Saturday until further notice.  Also, we are doing online or carryout only.
  • Westside Restaurant in O’Neill announces that or the health and safety of our employees, customers and community their dining area is temporarily closed.  They will continue take out orders off the menu, call 402-336-9909 to place your order. You can view their menu at westsiderestaurant.net Take out will be available from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm daily.
  • Wildflour Grocer is offering Curbside Pickup. Call the store at 402-336-8988 to place your order. We will bring it out to you and you can pay at your car!

Senior Center

  • The Atkinson Senior Center is closed to people coming into the center.  The Center is doing home delivery meals as well as curbside meals, Monday through Friday.  If you have any questions, please call the Center at 402-925-5827
  • Neligh Senior Center will be closed until the end of the month.  They will be doing delivered meal and to-go meals.  Call 402-887-4330.
  • O’Neill Senior Center will only be doing home delivered meals.  They will be sending out five frozen meals on Monday for the week. Call 402-336-4338.

  • Anson Insurance reminds you that a lot of our services can be handled via telephone call or email. For instance, paying premium, making auto change, or requesting an insurance card.   • Bomgaars announces that effective Friday, March 20th, will be adjusting our store hours to ensure that we can provide the same level of customer service that you have come to expect. Our revised hours will be:  Monday – Saturday 7:30 am to 6:00 pm,  Sunday Normal hours  9:00 am to 6:00 pm At the same time, we will be increasing measures to clean and sanitize our stores each evening. In addition, effective Monday, March 23rd, we will be adding curbside and carryout service at all of our Bomgaars locations.   • J&J Sanitation office lobby is closed but you can make payments online, by mail, by utilizing the drop box on the office door, or over the phone by calling 402-336-1334.
  • Jedlicka’s Hardware Hank in Verdigre is open for business. You can call ahead and order and they will bring it to your vehicle.  Call 402-668-2616.
  • Kaup’s Financial Advisors in Stuart is open but has closed their lobby.  They are asking clients to drop-off, mail or email information to the office.  There is a drop off area in the entryway and a drop-box located in the alley behind the office.  Please call 402-924-3607 if you have questions.
  • Kay’s Hair Studio will be closed until further notice.We appreciate everyone’s business and hope everyone stays healthy through the difficult times ahead

  • The Lynn Theatre in Lynch will remain closed until further notice.
  • Mane Event at the Urban Edge is open but we are only allowing 2 to 3 employees at a time inside and keeping the limits down.  Give us a call at 402-336-3215.
  • Mitchell Equipment is still doing business, basically as usual, but in an attempt to safeguard our staff and their families, we would like to reduce the direct person to person contact as much as possible. When you need to contact any of our staff please use the phone or other communication technology if at all possible, but we also realize that there are times when it just isn’t practical to do things over the phone.  So when necessary, please come in and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.  We would appreciate you using the North walk in entrance if you enter the store and we will direct you to the area you need.
  • The Ohiya Casino & Resort is closed until further notice!
  • One Office Solution revised store hours as of 3/27/20: Monday-Friday 11:00am – 3:00pm.  When possible, we would encourage our customers to call in their orders, and we can prepare for pick up, curbside, or delivery.   • O’Neill Family Pharmacy will be restricting patient access to the pharmacy.  All customers and patients will be required to use one of the following services: Curbside service: We will bring your prescriptions or over-the-counter items out to you in your car. In-town Delivery: We will deliver your prescriptions or over-the-counter items to you.  Drive-thru: Use our drive-thru on the southeast corner of our building.  We are able to get anything in our store to you through this window. Mail-out: We will mail your prescriptions or over-the-counter items to you. You may continue to request refills via our automated phone service or at mygnp.com or by using the “My GNP” mobile app. Please make an effort to call the pharmacy ahead of time and arrange payment for your prescriptions.   • Prairie Hills Ford is open normal business hours 8:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am – 12 pm Saturdays.   • Travel Now in O’Neill knows that everyone has questions and concerns during this time and we want to assure you that we are doing all we can to be able to answer your travel questions. With that being said, we also must be proactive, and will be making some temporary changes. Banking

  • Bank First will be closing their lobby.  The drive thru’s will remain open and all transactions can be handled through there.  They encourage customers to continue to use our ATM’s, Mobile Banking, debit cards and night drop for their banking needs.
  • Bank of Orchard will be closing their lobby indefinitely beginning Monday, March 30th. We will allow “walk up window” customers as needed. Otherwise, please feel free to use the deposit drop box. Loan customers, along with new account requests, are available by appointment only. Our normal business hours of M-F 8:30 am to 3:00 pm will be maintained.   • Brunswick State Bank will not have lobby access available until further notice at the Brunswick and Winnetoon locations.  Arrangements have been made to continue to provide all services to our customers.   • Butte State Bank in Butte and Spencer has closed their lobbies effective immediately due to the State of Nebraska Directed Health Measures until May 11th, unless the order is extended. We ask that customers utilize the night deposit and ATM lobby at the Butte Location and the drive-thru at the Spencer Branch. Normal hours of 8:30AM-4:00PM Monday thru Friday will still be maintained.   • Nebraska State Bank of Bristow and Lynch has closed their lobbies until further notice. Public Services

  • Atkinson Community Thrift Store would like to offer assistance to any elderly worried about being in public.  Please call 402-340-8706 for assistance.
  • City of O’Neill will close the O’Neill Community Center and O’Neill Public Library, effective March 23 through April 3.  The front doors of the library will be locked but you are still able to call with a question or book request.  You may still call closed facilities during regular business hours to speak with available staff at the O’Neill City Office and O’Neill Police Department.  Each controlled access facility has a sign at the door.  Visitors must call the phone number on the sign and be pre-screened prior to entry.  These may be subject to change.
  • During this unprecedented time of COVID-19, the City of O’Neill continues to take measures to slow the spread of the virus.  Per recommendation by the Governor and due to our Directed Health Measures, effective immediately all city parks and recreational facilities will be closed until further notice. The Carney Park Campground will remain open for workforce housing purposes. Playgrounds, benches and all outdoor equipment are to be completely avoided. The City of O’Neill does not have the resources to guarantee proper sanitization throughout the day at all of our facilities and we are working to keep our community safe.  We understand the importance of maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle, we ask that everyone do so responsibly. If you are walking or biking on a trail or even in town, please adhere to the CDC’s guidelines:  Observe the social distance of the recommended 6ft. from others.  Stay within the 10 person limit gatherings.  If exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 please stay home.
  • O’Neill Assembly of God and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church have established a COMMUNITY HELP LINE for individuals to call if they are in need of help with grocery delivery, prescription pick-up and delivery or even picking up a carryout order at a local restaurant.  We especially encourage those who are considered at a high risk of contracting the coronavirus, to reach out to us for assistance with these or similar errands. Anyone willing and able to participate in running these errands for individuals or have other ideas of how to help may also call this number.  Please call 402-336-8868 at any time.
  • Spencer Township Library will no longer be open to the public, until further notice.  Books can be checked out by sending an email to spnlib@nntc.net containing your name and a list of the books or authors you would like to read. You can also call the library at 589-1131 during normal hours and give your list to the librarian.  The books will be checked out to you for the period of 4 weeks and left in a bag in the entryway for you. Books may be returned by placing them in a plastic bag and dropped in the book return slot.  The Library is open Mon, Wed, Fri from 1:30-5:00 pm.
  • The Upper Elkhorn NRD remains open; however, we are closing our office to the public until further notice.  Staff will be available by phone, e-mail or by appointment.  The phone number is 402-336-3867.   • Verdigre Public Library is now striving to do the following:
    • Be closed to the public at least until April 30
    • Offer curbside pickup or doorstep delivery of books, audios, dvds.  Please call, email or contact library via website to make arrangements.
    • Provide AR books to Verdigre Public School families.  Other online resources are linked to library’s website.
    • As ever, the wifi is free and open 24/7.  So is the digital collection–Overdrive or Libby–for which only a library card is needed.
    • Allow computer usage only by someone who needs to access government services (e.g. unemployment)
    • Livestream the Village of Verdigre’s public meetings on library’s facebook page
    • Distribute messages from the Village, especially as they are arriving from Governor Ricketts

Boyd County Courthouse –  The Boyd County Board of Supervisors has made the decision to make the following changes to the daily operations and access to the Boyd County Courthouse.   Beginning Wednesday, March 25, 2020 for the safety of the public and staff the following changes will be made:

  • All walk-in members of the public will be limited to entry into the Courthouse by appointment only.
  • All customers will be required to call ahead and make an appointment with the specific office where they must conduct business.
  • All customers requiring services at the Courthouse will be required to enter the Courthouse through the West entrance (double doors).
  • The County is strongly recommending the use of online, fax, email or mail services whenever possible.

  • Atkinson Family Dental is seeing patients for Dental Emergencies only through April 1st.
  • Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital and Avera Medical Group O’Neill Clinic will screen all staff, patients, visitors and anyone else who is visiting the facility.Symptom screening, along with a temperature check, will take place as an ongoing effort to reduce the spread of coronavirus. This new step adds to other restrictions already in place, which include: Visitors are limited to immediate family only with one visitor allowed per patient; Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 who seeks care should call 402-336-2900 before they come to the clinic or hospital. If you have a cough, a fever more than 100 degrees or trouble breathing, or had exposure to someone with COVID-19, call prior to visiting the clinic or hospital; Anyone who does not need to visit the facility is asked to refrain for visiting. The public is reminded that the Avera Farm and Rural Stress Hotline at 800-691-4336 is available for those who wish to talk to a skilled mental health professional. The calls are free, confidential and available 24/7.
  • Avera Butte Clinic  and Avera Fairfax Clinic are closed.  Patients may call Avera Medical Group Gregory at 605-835-9611 for appointments.
  • Bright Horizons will be altering our services slightly.  Beginning Monday March 23, we will no longer have our lobby open to drop ins and ask that our clients call to speak to an advocate or to set up an appointment.  We will not be facilitating our support groups until it is recommended that you can have groups of more than 10 people meeting.  We will also not be accepting donations during the next few weeks.   • Family First Dental of O’Neill will be closed until April 30th, per request of The Nebraska Dental Association and the American Dental Association.   • Gutshall & Kohle Eyecare has moved to an urgent/emergent exam model. We are not scheduling routine eye exams at this time.   • Ketteler EyeCare, on recommendation from the CDC for Eye Care professionals, will be postponing routine eye exams, our doors are effectively closed. Urgent care only will be addressed. Contact Lens orders may be placed over the phone and we can ship to you. You can call the office and leave a message on the answer service as we will check the messages routinely and will return your call as soon as we can if needed.   • Niobrara Valley Hospital Medical Clinic in Spencer will no longer be allowing patrons to enter the building to pick up medications. Please call ahead and we’ll bring them out to your car when you get here. Please continue to call to schedule an appointment. The clinic’s phone number is 402-589-1580.
  • O’Neill Family Eyecare, after much consideration and out of concern for the safety of our patients and staff, have been monitoring the potential spread of the Corona virus closely.  We now have made the decision to cease patient appointments at this time. A member of our staff will be available from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  Please call us at 402-336-2220 to make safe arrangements to pick up your glasses and contacts or for any eye health emergencies.   • West Holt Medical Services in Atkinson have temporarily suspended in-person specialty clinic appointments at this time. Our team is working on providing some specialties through Telemedicine and we are reaching out to patients who have scheduled appointments to advise them on next steps.   • West Holt Pharmacy is not offering walk-in services at this time, but individuals are encouraged to us the drive-thru on Monday through Friday. 8:30 to 5:30.  The pharmacy offers free prescription delivery for home bound patients in Atkinson and prescription mailing services.  Call 402-925-2651.

Schools Distributing Meals to Students

  • O’Neill Public Schools announces that the school will be distributing meals on Monday there will be 2 breakfast and 2 lunches per child and Wednesday 3 breakfast and 3 lunches per child.  Also backpack meals will be available on Wednesday to use on the weekend. Meals may be picked up at the Elementary main entrance between 7:30 am -10:30 am on Mondays and Wednesdays. Meals will be bagged and available in the lunch area.  Meals are available for any student and any child ages 1-18 and any students enrolled in the schools 21 Program. St. Mary’s Students or any child in O’Neill between 1-18 is allowed. Meals are all free.
  • West Holt Public School – Effective March 20, 2020 Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, until school resumes, we will provide breakfast and lunch to children free of charge.  Those wishing to participate will need to come to the east entrance by the cafeteria (Door D) and a kitchen or school staff member will be there to assist you.  Please arrive between the hours of 11am and 12:30pm.  A breakfast and lunch will be provided for all children in your home from age 1-18 if that is what you wish.  You will be asked to provide the names of children who will be receiving the meals and a staff member will keep a list. On Monday and Wednesday, participants will receive a breakfast and lunch for that day, as well as a breakfast and lunch for the following day.  On Friday, participants will only receive breakfast and lunch for that day.  The meals will be separated out and may include instructions for preparing/heating the meal if needed. There is no need to contact the school or to “put an order in”.  You will simply need to come to school. This program is available to all children, not just those who qualify with free or reduced status.  All children should feel free to participate. If there are children who will be at home with no source of transportation who may need meals delivered, please contact the school and we will make arrangements to have food delivered in some fashion to a location. There is no charge for the meals.  This is part of the federal lunch program and the school will be reimbursed for all meals.  The cost is not being absorbed by the school district, but is part of a federal program.
  • Ewing Public School is providing a FREE lunch to all in the district ages 1 to 18.  These can be picked up at the back door of the kitchen daily between 11:30 and 12:00.  You can sign up on the survey on the school website www.ewingpublicschools.org or call the school office at 402-626-7235.
