You never know what you might find during City Wide Garage Sales..story below

We received this nice letter here at KBRX after the City Wide Garages Sale.
I just wanted to say a big thank you to KBRX and the sponsors that helped promote the City Wide Garage Sale this month.  This is the first year we have participated as sellers and we had a wonderful turnout.

You gave us a great plug on party line while reading our ad which I think helped too....we had the bearskin rug and you said it a few times and also remarked how it was probably the most unusual item on the sales this year.  We had many people come and take a look at it and yes, it did get sold to a great new home.

It turns out the people that purchased it are the Sawyer family in O'Neill.  I have sent you two pictures of the rug.  The girl that is sitting on the rug was in a parade in appx. 1995 of which you were the announcer.  She was about 1-1/2 years old at the time and she was riding in the parade on top of a bear skin rug.  You had called her "the original bareback (bear back) rider".  Well, she rides again.  Funny thing is she is now about 13 which was how old I was when I originally received the rug.

Anyway, thanks again so much for everything your station does for our community.  You are a tremendous asset to O'Neill!!!

Sincerely,
Lori Whitney
