Beer Batter Fried Asparagus/Cauliflower/Mushrooms
1 ¾ cup flour
1 ½ cups beer
1 egg
1 egg white
1 teaspoon baking powder
4 cups vegetable oil
16 asparagus spears, cauliflower or Mushrooms
salt, pepper and cayenne pepper to taste
In a medium bowl, mix together flour, beer, egg, egg white and baking powder.
Heat oil to 325 degrees in a deep fryer or deep saucepan. Dip
asparagus/Cauliflower/Mushrooms in beer batter; fry for 3 to 4 minutes or until
golden brown. Drain on paper towels, then season to taste.
