Public Comments Sought For State’s Consolidated Plan for 2015-19

The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED), in coordination with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), is currently developing the State’s new Consolidated Plan for the 2015 through 2019 Program Years.  The 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan will define the State’s funding priorities for the next five years as they relate to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Programs that are funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Your Input Is Important!! - Within the process of developing the Proposed 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan, the State is interested in obtaining citizen input in order to help shape the priorities of these HUD Programs that are being administered.  In order to begin this public input process, DED has developed a brief survey that is intended to gather information on community needs throughout the state.  The survey results will be utilized in the development of the Proposed 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan and will be used within the State’s upcoming focus groups and public input meetings that will be held later this summer in order to gather additional input prior to finalizing the Plan.

Please click on the following link on the DED website by July 31, 2014, to participate in this survey:
