During the period February 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013 Station KBRX AM & FM had no new hires
In an effort to keep the public informed of our personnel needs, KBRX AM & FM broadcasts two 30 second ads per week, informing the public to apply when an opening occurs. The help ads are run in class A times, and are scheduled on a year around basis.
We also contact organizations to help us locate personnel when the need arises. This year the following organizations were contacted:

Scott Poese, General Manager of KBRX AM & FM, was present on March 21, 2012 to talk to the West Holt Freshman Class in Atkinson, NE. To talk about the various careers in the radio broadcast industry.
Scott Poese, Genreral Manager Attended the EEO Management Training Session held during the Nebraska Broadcasters Annual Convention.
KBRX AM-FM also took part in this years Nebraska Broadcaster Association Foundation Student Scholarship Program. Winning the $1400.00 scholarship this year was Elissa Marie Reetz from York, NE. KBRX AM-FM broadcast spots alerting students to apply for the Nebraska Scholarships. KBRX AM-FM broadcast 162-30 second ads.
KBRX AM-FM also has trained five high school students to do work on the air. They are Tasha Lechtenberg, Alissa Sobotka, Creston Buller, Holly Heese and Jacob Goldfuss. Each student runs their own shift.
Area Schools in the KBRX area do a weekly news report. The students write the news and do the reporting on the air. Schools taking part in this program are Creighton, O'Neill St. Mary's, Lynch, Stuart, West Boyd, O'Neill Public, Clearwater and Chambers.
