OUR NOMINEES FOR WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 8TH

(1) Senior Savannah Wakely led the way for Wausa on Thursday with wins over Niobrara and Orchard. She racked up 20 kills, seven blocks and 11 service points in two contests.

(2) Despite going on-and-one on Thursday, senior Shelby Dempster had a great showing for the Lady Orioles. She knocked down 22 kills, and ten service points.

(3) While the Orioles went one-and-one on Thursday Kalee Schacht put together a stellar performance with ten kills and three blocks.

OUR WINNERS FOR WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 1ST

Josiah Switzer sparked the Ewing Tigers to a fourth win over the Pope John Crusaders on Friday night 30-to-14. Switzer would catch three passes for 86 yards and two touchdowns while intercepting two passes as well.

Chaney Black was a one woman wreaking crew on Tuesday night at the Niobrara Quad. As the West Boyd Spartans took two wins from the Lion's Den, Black racked up at outstanding 18 kills with thirteen service points and one service ace.

OUR WINNERS FOR WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 24TH
Skyler Strope had another eye popping performance on Saturday in a Cyclone win over St. Mary's 44-to-28. Strope had 29 carries for 253 yards, four tounchdowns and two PAT's. Add in 13 tackles and an interception on defense just for good measure.

Randi Miller, Chambers Coyotes Senior, had a solid performance in the Chambers Quad on Tuesday. She served for 21 service points in two games. That included three aces and she was 23-of-25 in service.

OUR WINNERS FOR WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 17TH

Becky Frerichs, junior from West Holt High School, earns the statement "Been Served." She was 27 of 27 serving on Thursday the 11th against Madison.  Becky started the 2nd game serving and was still back ready to serve when the scoreboard lit 20-0.  After 21 good serves the Huskies won the match 25-3.  The string included 7th Aces.

Senior Skyler Strope had a career day on Friday night while the Clearwater/Orchard Cyclones went to two-and-oh with a win over Osmond. Strope rushed for 94 yards on 18 carries with one touchdwon, caught two balls for 11 yards and one touchdown and three punt returns for 99 yards. He also added 6 tackles including three sacks and one forced fumble from his linebacker spot.

OUR WINNERS WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 10TH

Jodi Schroeder, senior for the West Holt Huskies, helped the Huskies Volleyball Team to a 3-0 sweep.  Her attack column was 20/24 with 9 kills, while she served 10/12 with 4 aces. To that add 3 blocks. Coach Andy Osborne says "She helped build on our momentum each time she touch the ball."

Brett Kaczor, senior quarterback from Ewing, had what is being called "A good day at the office," by AD Greg Appleby. Friday night Kaczor accounted for five Ewing touchdowns. 14 Carries for 105 yards and three touchdowns and went seven-of-eight throwing the football for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Oh yeah, he had 15 Tackles too.

OUR WINNERS WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 3RD

Freshman Eagle pitcher Rachel Price led the Eagles to two wins on Saturday at the Wisner-Pilger tournament. Price worked 20 innings in three contests winning two games and dropping one to Central City. Price post an ERA of 3.60 and struck-out 16 while opposing hitters went just .254 against her.

Brady Wakefield a O'Neill Public 8th grader competed at Rosebud Little Britches Rodeo this past weekend. Brady placed in four events at Rosebud.  First in the Team Roping with brother Riley as his partner. He also wn the Breakaway Roping and Ribbon Roping, while taking third in the Goat Tying. Needless to say, Brady was also won the All-Around.
