O’Neill – A multi-sport athlete for the West Holt Huskies has committed to run track at Doane University.
Jordan Tasler, a Senior at West Holt High school, has decided to commit to the University of Doane’s Track & Field team. Through-out Tasler’s athletic career at West Holt he has been a standout athlete in Football, Cross Country, Basketball, and Track & Field.
Tasler qualified for the State Track & Field Meet in Omaha as a Sophomore and Junior. As a sophomore, Tasler was on the State Qualifying 4×400 and 4×800 teams. As a Junior, Tasler qualified for the 400 Meter Dash, the 800 Meter Dash, and was also on the 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams. Tasler medaled as a Junior in the 400-meter dash (7th), 800-meter dash (4th), 4×400 (6th), and the 4×800 (5th).
Tasler also played a key role for the West Holt Husky Basketball and Football teams in qualifying for the Basketball State Tournament and Football Playoffs as a Junior.
During Tasler’s Senior year he has been apart of a State Qualifying Cross-Country team that also finished 3rd in Class D. Tasler also started for the West Holt Huskies Basketball team that made it to the D1-6 Sub-District Final.
After graduation, Tasler will head to Doane University in Crete, Nebraska to compete on the Track & Field team coached by Ed Fye.
